Policies

My time is valuable, and so is yours.  If you're late for your appointment, you lose that time.  If you don't show, you will still be charged (a fee equal to 100% of the originally scheduled appointment which must be paid prior to scheduling any other times).  In turn, I promise to honor our appointments, and be on time as well.

Canceling/Rescheduling

To avoid any cancellation fees, please let us know by 10:00 pm the day before your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule, so that we may offer your time to another client on our waiting list.

We now offer 2 reminder options for your appointment – email and text.  Please contact us with your information to sign up for these reminders!
Even with these automated reminders- you are solely responsible for remembering and showing up for the appointment that you made.  
If you do not contact us by 10pm the day before your appointment to cancel, or if you intentionally or unintentionally miss your appointment, you will be charged a fee equal to 100% of the treatment cost which must be paid before you can schedule another appointment.

Child Minding

Due to the potentially hazardous chemicals and expensive equipment in the studio, please make other arrangements for your children on appointment days. Specktra6 reserves the right to cancel your appointment and charge you fully for the booking. We have no staff to supervise children. Specktra6 will not be held accountable for injury or accidents to, or caused by, unsupervised children.  

Children are only allowed in our studio if they are scheduled for an appointment. 

Gift Certificates   

After a 4 year hiatus, we have begun to offer
plastic Gift Cards and Virtual E-gift cards for your convenience. 
Please don't make us regret this  :-) 

Both the purchaser and the eventual bearer agree to all of the policies listed on this site, which are subject to change without notice.
Please treat your gift card like cash, as it cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.  Gift cards are fully transferrable, so if you feel like you cannot use it, pass it along to someone who can.  You may not return or redeem the card for cash or any other form of payment refunded back to the bearer or the purchaser.
If your intention is for the recipient to use the gift for a service, please note Specktra6's schedule to be sure the recipient will be able to use it as we cannot accommodate other times outside of our regular schedule.   
Along with any service that Specktra6 offers, you may redeem your gift towards any of the products we have for sale (skin care, etc.)
Since I maintain client confidentiality, purchasers will not be told if their intended recipient has come in for their service, and unless the purchaser has the physical card in hand, they cannot use the gift card themselves if the recipient doesn't come in.  
Gift cards have no expiration date, but for bookkeeping reasons, Specktra6 appreciates it if they are used within one year of purchase.


Payment
Payment is due at time of service.  Cash, Local Personal Check, or MasterCard/Visa, Discover, American Express are accepted forms of payment.  You may be charged a fee for returned checks.  
I do not bill insurance, however I will provide you with one detailed receipt of your session if needed.  Any further paperwork needed by you or, for example, your insurance company or any lawyers will be charged a per sheet fee of $2.00 (or the maximum allowed by law) for copying or emailing, and may incur additional postage and handling fees.


Draping
Draping (how you are covered during the massage or facial) is required.  You will be properly draped at all times with a sheet and blanket to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed.  I will not use any draping that is smaller than a twin sized sheet.  Please do not ask.  If you prefer to use a smaller draping or no draping at all, you will have to look elsewhere for a massage as I will not accommodate you.


Right to Refuse or Terminate Services
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services at any time.  You may be liable for payment of the terminated session.  In the case of a pre paid session, package, or a gift certificate, it may be considered used (and no refunds will be given) if any of the following apply. 
Reasons may include (but are not limited to):

  • Being under the influence of painkillers (otc/prescription), alcohol, or other drugs or intoxicants (massage may not be safe if you cannot gauge pain)
  • Poor  hygiene   - Please be relatively clean (bathed within the past 24 hours)
  • Comments or actions of a sexual nature- even if you are "just joking"
  • Violations of Wisconsin Statute 944.30, especially 1(d) and 1(e).  Specktra6 WILL notify the local police department and press charges.
  • Being rude or disrespectful 
  • Being late, cancelling last minute, or chronic rescheduling of appointments- even if it is within our cancellation window.

 

Illness

We do not work when we are sick - it happens very rarely, but we will give you as much notice as possible if we need to reschedule your time due to an illness.

If you are sick (especially if you have a fever or are vomiting) please reschedule your appointment with as much notice as possible.  Getting a massage or a skin treatment will probably make you feel WORSE.  

We also do not want to catch what you have, and unknowingly pass on illnesses to other clients.

Arriving Late

Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you.  If you arrive late your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours.  

Depending upon how late you arrive, we will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for payment of  the “full” session that was originally scheduled.  

(for example, if you've originally booked a 90 minute session and show up 15 minutes late, we only have time to complete a 75 minute session but you will still be charged for the cost of the 90 minute session that you originally scheduled)


Please contact us by phone/text at 920.550.1684 if you expect to be more than 10 minutes late.  We generally wait for you for 15 minutes, and then it is assumed that you are not going to show up, and we may leave the studio or call our next client to come in early.
